I spent the 4th of July weekend at James Gilliland’s Science, Spirit and World Transformation Conference at his ranch in Trout Lake, WA. 250 attendees joined Dr. Miceal Ledwith of What the Bleep and orb fame, Brooks Agnew and I, among other speakers, as we presented work on contact with other dimensions.

I’ve known James for nearly 10 years and have been intrigued by the enigmatic happenings at his ranch all this time. It's located at the base of Mt. Adams in the southern part of Washington. Local Indian legend says this mountain is a portal to an inner earth city(!). Perhaps this explains why the 'veil' is said to be thinner here.
Visitors to Gilliland's ranch routinely report - and document - strange light phenomenon in the skies about his ranch such as massive amounts of those perplexing orbs and oddly behaving lights in the night sky. This was my chance to experience these luminous ships or 'craft'.

During the day we enjoyed the presentations in the building with comfortable seating for 300 James constructed for the streams of people who make their way to ‘Gilliland’s Island’. The air is fresh and clean here, a relief for city lungs. The scenery is pristine, bald eagle country. The rushing White Salmon River lays a pleasing, subliminal layer of cleansing sound. The place feels…well, wild. Even more, it feels… that’s it, alive.
At dusk 200 or so of us took a lawn chair to the empty field in front of James’ ranch. I was told to expect anything.

The first night felt similar to the moment I experienced a week later at the Robert Plant and Allison Krauss concert in Chastain Park in Atlanta. As dusk descended we lucky ones dropped into our seats (ours were 7th row) and waited for night’s curtain to rise and for the players to emerge. Then, from out of the amorphous otherworld, stepped the tall, cool one, known as Percy (like the Grail King) in his Led Zep days, and the bluegrass siren who plays the fiddle like the devil. They lifted and suspended us into a time and space only troubadours can.
Within minutes of first darkness at James’ the anticipation quickened the night. Suddenly, I saw a FLASH near the center of the misty mountain. Others saw it too. There was a sudden jolt of acknowledgment. “Lights on the mountain! Lights on the mountain!” They shouted.
What? Was that light unusual? I wondered.
When I asked James about it later he gave me lots of food for thought. First, he said, Mount Adams is 17 miles away from his ranch. It’s uninhabited (by humans). There are no roads winding on its skin. No one is up there.
So, then, what was that light?
James told me about an experiment some clever investigators conducted regarding that light. They took a high watt light up the mountain to the approximate place where the lights are often seen from James’ place. When lit this light appeared to be about the size of a match to a person standing at James’ ranch. A mathematician calculated that the lights flashing on the mountain are over a quarter mile wide!
No wonder the light on the mountain raised the energy level that night. Little did I know, this was only the beginning.
The primal urge to experience something mind-blowing increased each night I was there. So too did a sense of urgency. No doubt, the ticking clock fueled this. I had to experience something before I left on Monday.
All signs were positive. My friend, the inventor John Riley, brought an experimental energy technology designed to act like an energy beacon for those scooting by overhead. Numerous people assured me that seeing extraordinary lights was commonplace in this special place.
As I thought about it later this ‘event’ was kind of like a sporting event. There were the tailgaters over at the picnic table sipping wine. There was the empty field waiting for the game to begin. There was excitement and also apprehension in the air. The players took their sides.
Then, the cheering began.
“Come on. Show your self!” The Believers cheered loudest and with their heads turned toward the stars.
On the other side of the field were the Skeptics. “Just satellites,” they’d say to one another about the intermittent lights sailing by overhead.
Then, suddenly, a skilled 'shooter' with a laser pointer locked onto a target: a dancing craft, or ship, sailing too fast to be a satellite. The eyeballs followed the beam into the night sky, tracking the blazing path of the speeding light. Is it a plane? A satellite? A light-ship?
"Power up!," "Power up!" Chanted the crowd in unison, hoping for an acknowledgement from the light-ship.
This is what I came for. I’ve never seen a UFO, but I’ve always wanted to. James virtually guarantees that you will see something extraordinary if you make the journey to his island sanctuary.
In Contact Has Begun, a documentary about Gilliland’s ranch, we see a brilliant video of a ship “powering up”. (For a peek at this documentary see YouTube.) In the presentation Gilliland observes there are two types of craft: metallic disks and biological craft. He caught one of the latter powering-up on tape. It shows a ball of light or light sphere pulsing pink rings.
I powered up the moment I saw this as this so-called biological craft shares the characteristics of the winged 'Ring of Cosmic Power' of the light god, Ahura Mazda. This winged ring is known as the Merkabah vehicle in Jewish mysticism. Ahura Mazda sails the stars in this mystical craft. It represents the next level of human evolution and a capability inherent in each of us.

A similar ‘craft’ is mentioned in the Mahabarata, which says that Arjuna, in his journey aboard a “Divine Chariot, brilliant like the Sun” traveled through the galaxy to visit his father, Indra, chief of the gods” and saw “wondrous chariots by the thousands” out in space.
They shone with their own light.
The Sage Vaisampayana told Arjuna that the lights he sees as stars are the “perfected royal seers,” self-awakened humans who have transformed themselves into stars, light spheres.
They are surrounded by effulgent energy fields or auric shells.
Is it possible these are the light craft seen at Gilliland’s Island?

On Sunday night the crowd had thinned.
As I stood facing the mountain at 2:00 was the Milky Way. I could see the ethereal Great Rift of the galactic center.
James gave us some stones that, he claimed, are not from Earth and are unidentifiable. He thought this might enhance our experience.
Night had barely fallen when shouts came from the crowd. “Lights in the sky!” The green beam of the laser locked onto a peculiarly dancing point of light.
Suddenly, “whoosh.” A pulse or a beam washed over my heart center, lifting my spirit. The only other time I’ve experienced such a feeling came from ancient Egyptian artifacts and temples.
Whoosh. A second pulse fluttered through me.
Rapture. Joy. Once again, I could feel my heart chakra opening.
The third wave followed immediately.
No satellite that I know of could cause this feeling. To my knowledge no traditional aircraft can cause this either. This leaves me of the opinion that an unidentified craft had caused this. Was it a biological light-ship just saying ‘hello’?
While I can’t say for sure, this experience left me with one certainty. That is, I will return to James Gilliland’s island sooner than later.
